CM reviews NRHM programme implemented in AP

Hyderabad, May 30 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today reviewed the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) programme being implemented in the state, with the concerned officials and Ministers.

The Chief Minister wanted all the various wings of the government like Women Development and Child Welfare, Rural Development, Social Welfare, Medical and Health should work in a coordinated manner.

''The Infant Mortality Rate and Maternity Mortality Rate should be brought down drastically with coordinated efforts'', Dr Reddy said, adding that he wanted to organise a mass movement with ''Public Health'' as the main agenda, by involving all the stake holders at district level.
