Cheating case filed against two persons in Anand

Anand, May 30 (UNI) A man has filed a cheating case against two persons for collecting Rs three lakhs on the pretext of sending his son abroad.

Girish Natwarlal Shah, in his complaint with the Khamboraj police station here today, said he had paid Rs three lakh to Indiraben Ashokbhai Thakur and Shailesh Vithalbhai Solanki for arranging to send his son to London. However, when the duo failed to keep their word, Shah demanded that the money they had taken be returned, police sources said.

Later, the duo gave a cheque drawn on ICICI bank which bounced.

When the man approached the duo, they threatened him with dire consequences if he insisted on getting his money back.

Further investigations are on, sources added.
