BJP to file complaint with EC against Congress
Mangalore, May 30 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party Karnataka President D V Sadananda Gowda today said that his party will file a complaint with the Election Commission against Congress Party for allegedly misleading the voters of Ullal Assembly constituency with false information of possible postponement of election due predicted heavy rains during the June Two polling and distributing slips with wrong voter name.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Gowda charged that Congress, which had become desperate with the fear of losing the election, had now making serious attempt by spreading false information during the door-to-door campaigning that the voters need not to worry about exercising their franchise as there was all possibilities of postponement of election due to possible heavy rains.
Stating that he had enough evidence on this, Mr Gowda alleged that Congress was distributing the chits to the voters which had wrong informations such as wrong voter name and address and missing of voters and wrong booth name. BJP has in its possession of such chits which would be submitted to the district election officer, he added.
