BJP appeals to Gurjjars for dialogue

Jaipur, May 30 (UNI) The ruling Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) today appealed to the agitating Gujjar community leaders and all concerned to open a dialogue for restoration of peace and normalcy in the state.

Party state president Mahesh Sharma said their party as well as the state government were with the Gujjar community and willing to solve the issue through a dialogue.

Mr Sharma expressed regret and grief over unfortunate incidents of violence during protests by Gujjars in different parts of the state yesterday for the inclusion of their community into ST category and conveyed condolences to the families of those who were killed in the firing on behalf of the party.

The issue of demand of compensation and inquiry into the police firing, could be solved through dialogue, he said.
