''Ayodhya tangle be sorted out on shankaracharyas' formula''

Narsinghpur, MP, May 30 (UNI) Dwarkapeeth Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati has said that a final decision to solve Ayodhya's Ram temple construction imbroglio should be based on the formula suggested by the four shankaracharyas.

''Religious issues should not be sorted out from a political viewpoint. The VHP exploited the temple issue for political vested interests and that is why the matter is not being sorted out. There is a chasm between my views and those of the VHP in this regard,'' he told UNI.

The seer alleged that the VHP's treason with the public over this issue led to the BJP's defeat in the recent Uttar Pradesh poll.

''All the shankaracharyas wish that temple construction takes place at Ayodhya but the Centre is yet to allot land,'' he added.
