5 Chhota Rajan men arrested, arms seized
Allahabad, May 30 (UNI) The city police today claimed to have arrested five members of the Chhota Rajan gang besides cracking a recent loot case of the district.
A special team, formed by SSP Brij Bhushan Shukla, arrested Mubaraq Khan, Manish Yadav, Satish Yadav, Mohd Saqib and Dharmendra Yadav.
Talking to the mediapersons, the SSP said two other accused Rajesh Yadav alias Boxer and Aleem were still absconding.
An imported pistol, three countrymade pistols and a motorcycle were also recovered from their possession.
According to police, the accused received payments from the gang through ICICI Bank, Chembur Branch, Mumbai.
They worked under Sooraj Shetty, who was a link between them and Chhota Rajan.
The SSP said they were also involved in the post office loot case where some criminals had tried to loot Rs 27 lakh cash from the Kutchehry Head Post Office in Colonelganj area on May 15.
One security guard was killed in the attack, while another was still recuperating in hospital. The absconding accused Rajesh was the mastermind of the crime.
