2 cops transferred, another suspended over firing incidents

Bulandshahr, May 30 (UNI) Two police Circle Officers (CO) were transferred, while a Kotwali in-charge was suspended for negligence of duty, following four separate firing incidents here.

Three motorcycle-borne miscreants spread terror in the district late last night when they opened fire at different places, wounding a number persons.

As per the orders of SSP Sujeet Kumar Pandey, Bulandshahr and Khurja COs swapped places, while Kotwali in-charge Chandra Pal Singh was suspended.

In the first incident at Krishna Nagar, Shubham, son of a businessman and his relative Bhanu were shot at and wounded by the miscreants.

In another incident at Laxmi Nagar, Amit Garg was wounded.

At Devipura, Gopal and Nar Singh were wounded.

The criminals also opened fire at Ansari Road crossing, but no one was reported hurt.

Some of the critically wounded were referred to Delhi.

Local residents protested the incident.

The police arrested six persons in this regard. One of the accused was identified as Arvind alias Teetu.

Two pistols were also seized from them.
