Villager killed in crossfire

Guwahati, May 29 (UNI) A villager was killed in crossfire between a police team and two ULFA militants at Naharanibari village under Machkhowa police station of Dhemaji district.

Police informed that two ULFA militants, who were being chased by a team of Asom police and CRPF personnel, barged into the property of village Hira Taid who was working inside his thatched house.

He was seriously injured in crossfire between the ULFA ultras and police team and later died while on way to the hospital.
