UHBVN completes HVDS in Haldheri model village

Chandigarh, May 29 (UNI) Under its plan to supply power through High Voltage Distribution System (HVDS) in the villages declared as the Model Village by the State Government, the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam has completed the work in Haldheri.

This is the first village of Kurukshetra district having the newly erected HVDS system. The village was in limelight when a little boy, Prince, fell in a 60 feet deep pipeline and was rescued by the Army.

A spokesman for Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam said that the Nigam has installed seven new 25 K V A transformers, required for the HVDS, by replacing old transformers.

Armoured Cable had been erected throughout the village in place of the old power sully lines and every consumer had been given independent connection from the nearest transformer through Armoured Cable, he added.

In a cluster of 111 households as many as 105 consumers were having domestic or non-domestic connections.

The power supply complaints due to breakdown hadreduced considerably after the arrangement of the HVDS.
