Three persons attacked; seriously injured

Anand, May 29 (UNI) Three persons were seriously injured today when a gang of 15 men attacked them in the vegetable market area of Asodar village, 18 km from here.

Two merchants M K Rana of Napad village and Gopalbhai C Jadhav of Navakal village quarelled over a weighing scale yesterday.

Today Rana brought with him one Zakirbhai Munnabhai and 14 others who beat Gopalbhai, his brother Manhar and his uncle Sanabhai severely. One of them was rushed to Borsad hospital.

In his complaint Gopalbhai has said that the attackers snatched away cash of Rs 27,000.

The vegetable merchants association of Asodar have called for an indefinite bandh until the culprits are brought to book.
