TDP warns ruling Congress govt
Tirupati, May 29 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh opposition TDP has warned the Congress government about the poor law and order situation and the alleged land encroachments made by party leaders in the state.
Speaking during the concluding day of Mahanadu here today, TDP supermo N Chandrababu Naidu alleged that during the three-years- regime of the Congress, the law and order situation in the state was more affected by high rate of violences.
As many as 110 TDP activists, including Ananathapur party leader, was assassinated by factionalists, after the Congress came to power in the state, he added.
He asked the police officials to do their duty and protect the public. Otherwise, they would face problems when the TDP would come to power in the next election, he added.
Mr Naidu alleged that corruption at the state and the Centre had increased abnormally and demanded that the President should order an inquiry into all the corruption cases.
After releasing the political resolution by party leader Yerram Naidu, the party President said the TDP, whether it was in power or not, would always stand with the people only.
He said the party would play a key role in national politics in the future and it resolved to fight against the anti-democratic policies of the UPA government.
He alleged that the state government had betrayed the people during the last three years with its anti-people policies.
