Rupee ends flat at 40.49/50 against US Dollar

Mumbai, May 29: The Rupee today closed flat at 40.49/50 as compared to previous close of 40.50 per dollar.

The domestic unit is still hovering around its recent peaks drawing support on unusual capital inflows, which may come down in ensuing sessions, dealers said.

In the morning session, the local unit opened stronger at 40.47/49 and scaled an day"s high of 40.42 against dollar but later skidded to lower margins registering day"s low of 40.54.
