Police "very concerned" about missing boy

LONDON, May 29 (Reuters) British police said they were ''very concerned'' about an 11-year-old boy who had gone missing from his home in southern England.

Jamie Thorpe was last seen in the Malling Green area of Lewes at about 1800 hrs today, Sussex Police said.

''We would appeal to anyone who has seen Jamie or who has any information that could assist us in finding him to please contact us urgently,'' Inspector Mark Bright said.

''If Jamie hears this himself, then please contact your parents immediately. You are not in trouble. Everyone just wants to make sure that you are safe.'' Jamie was described as white, of very slim build, with blue eyes and short brown hair. He was wearing a grey Nike hooded top with blue and grey sleeves and a blue hood, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.
