One died and 2 injured in bomb blast

Krishnagar, May 29 (UNI) At least one person died and two seriously injured in a bomb explosion at Nokari under Ranaghat police station here today.

Police said the incident occured when a crude bomb, hidden in the branches of a tree, exploded killing a 48-year-old farmer on the spot and two others were seriously injured.

The farmers were working in a field nearby.

The injured have been taken to Ranaghat sub-divisional hospital and their condition is critical.

Police said investigation is on in this regard.
