NCP to support UPA on Prez candidate

Ranchi, May 29 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party's general secretary Tariq Anwar today said they would support the UPA candidate in the coming presidential election.

Talking to newspersons here after returning from election campaign for the Daltonganj assembly segment, Mr Anwar said since they are coalition partner at the Centre, they would support the UPA candidate after arriving on a consensus on the issue.

Mr Anwar said forming a coalition government at the Centre was compulsion for both national and regional parties in the present political scenario.

To a query over alleged corruption in Bihar, Mr Anwar said the matter would be dealt seriously.

Refering to Daltonganj bypoll, the NCP leader said the people were looking for an alternative and the party would be a better option for them.
