MP mulls tiger conservation plan
Bhopal, May 29 (UNI) Alarmed over Wildlife Institute of India's report about decline in tiger habitat and increasing human pressure near tiger reserves, the Madhya Pradesh government has started an exercise to prepare a tiger conservation plan.
A suggestion in this regard was given by Forest Minister Himmat Kothari yesterday during presentation of the Dehradun-based institute's latest report on tiger habitat.
Along with making efforts to improve the forest in corridor connecting national parks, an attractive package should be provided for shifting human population from forest villages in park areas, Mr Kothari said.
