Kerala receives rain
Thiruvananthapuram, May 29 (UNI) Rain occurred at many places in Kerala and Lakshadweep during the last 24 hours.
According to a local weather office here, Kasaragod and Kollam received a maximum of six cm each, while Kozhikode airport and Kunnamkulam recorded five cm each.
The other chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cm were Agathi four, Kannur, Vadakara, Pattambi, Kochi airport, Alappuzha, Kumarakam and Varkala three each, it said.
Isolated heavy rain was likely in Kerala and Lakshadweep during the next 48 hours.
The office warned that strong onshore wind from westerly direction with a speed of 55-65 km per hour was likely along the coast off Kerala and Lakshadweep during the next 48 hours.
