HPCL net dips 72.70 pc in Q4FY07

New Delhi, May 29 (UNI) Leading oil refining and marketing Company Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) has recorded 72.70 per cent fall in its net profit at Rs 549.54 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 2,013.41 crore in the same quarter a year ago.

However, the total income of the company rose from Rs 20,943.15 crore for Q4FY06 as against Rs 22,045.94 crore in Q4FY07, a statement said today.

Besides, the company recorded a 270.30 per cent jump in its net profit at Rs 1,674.02 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 452.07 crore for the previous year.

The total income increased from Rs 75,541.99 crore in FY06 as against Rs 94,680.63 crore this year.
