HP declares holiday on June two
Shimla, May 29 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Government today announced a gazetted holiday in Hamirpur constituency of the state on June two to allow the employees of government offices, boards, corporations, educational institutions and industrial institutions to exercise their right to franchise.
The holiday would also be a paid holiday to the daily wage employees and also within the meaning of Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, an official release here said.
Employees working in different places of the state would, however, be allowed to avail special casual leave to cast their vote during the June two polling, he added.
