Hizbul militant arrested in Doda

Doda, May 29 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police today arrested a hardcore militant of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) at Chatroo in Doda district, official sources said here.

Police sources said, acting on a specific information about the presence of the militant, police arrested Abdul Majid, code name Shaheen, from Sinthan Mandian of Chatroo town.

Majid, a resident of Beighpur Singhpura in Chatroo police station, had been associated with HM for last three years and he was involved in many militants related criminal activities.

Further investigation was still on, police added.
