Heavy rain inundates several areas in Puducherry

Puducherry, May 29: Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds and lightning lashed rural areas of Puducherry region inundating several areas.

Nearly ten villages, including Karasur, Saidarapet and Thirukkanur received heavy showers last night.

Television sets in more than ten houses and electricity boxes in some houses were damaged due to lightning in which three coconut trees were burnt.
