Five Bangladeshis held in Aurangabad

Aurangabad, May 29 (UNI) Five Bangladeshis, including four women, were arrested last evening for staying illegally in the city, police said today.

Acting on a tip-off that the five Bangladeshis were staying illegally in the house of one Madhura Meher in Nyaynagar area, Mukundwadi police raided the house and apprehended the accused.

The arrested have been identified as Faidal Shaikh Sohail Sheikh (34), Hasina Faidal Shaikh (24), Tamanzira Altaf Shaikh (25), Zamira Khatoon Altaf Shaikh (25) and Masoora Shaikh Mohammed (25).

Faidal was working as a cook in a hotel, while the four women were working in different hotels of the city.

During interrogation, the Bangladeshis admitted that they were staying in different parts of India for several years. Faizal revealed that he had been staying in India for the last 18 years.

Of which, for the past 15 years, he had stayed at Mumbra in Thane district and for the last three years, he was staying in the city along with his family and relatives, police added.

Earlier, on May 19, two Bangladeshis, along with fake currency of about Rs four lakh were arrested in the city. Prior to that on May 15, a Bangladeshi couple was also caught.
