Drizzle brings relief to Amdavadis

Ahmedabad, May 29 (UNI) Ahmedabad city experienced pre-monsoon showers bringing respite after the continuous hot day conditions.

Met office sources here said that 2.6 mm of rain was recorded between 14:30 hrs to 17:30 hrs today. The precipitation was due to the formation of cumulus nimbus clouds that led to the drizzle in some parts of the city. These are a pointer towards formation of thunder-clouds, the source said.

With Southwest Monsoon arriving in Kerala yesterday four days ahead of schedule, the Monsoon is expected to arrive three days early in Gujarat too. The actual picture of the Monsoons will become clear only in the first week of June, meteorlogical department source added.
