Dhaka disappointed at Indian news reports about ULFA
Dhaka, May 29 (UNI) Denying newspaper reports published in some Indian dailies suggesting that ULFA is operating in the country, Bangladesh today said it was deeply disappointed with the news which was ''not reflective of the ground reality''.
''It has been the principled position of the Bangladesh government that the country does not allow its territory to be used in any activities inimical to the interests of India. There would be no wavering from that stance,'' the statement said.
About the allegation that the Bangladesh government was not fully cooperative, the government stressed once again that the institutional mechanisms of Bangladesh for bilateral consultations remain constantly engaged in this and other matters.
