Death penalty for killer of five people

Bokaro, May 28 (UNI) A local court today convicted a prime accused of killing five members of a family five years ago in Bokaro rpt Bokaro and handed down death sentence to him.

District and Sessions Judge Judhe Prakash Rai pronounced the death sentence for Mantu alias Mahendra Mandal. On October 8, 2002, five members of the family, including a child, were brutally murdered at their home in sector 3 of the steel city.

The court had already ordered to dismiss three police officers for tampering with the evidence to protect the convict.
