Case registered against former BJP minister and AMC Mayor
Aurangabad, May 29 (UNI) A case has been registered against former BJP minister Haribhau Bagde and Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) Mayor Dr Bhagwat Karad, along with 25 other party workers, for violating prohibitory orders here.
The case, against former Food and Civil Supplies Minister and the Mayor, was registered yesterday under Section 135 of Mumbai Police Act and 37(a) for violating the prohibitory orders issued by the City Commissioner, Osmanpura police today told UNI.
The duo, along with BJP workers, were protesting against the UPA government over the sugarcane issue. They had staged a protest without permission and also shouted slogans before burning an effigy of Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar at Kranti chowk.
