British Airways woo students with baggage scheme
Mumbai, May 29 (UNI) British Airways (BA), in its latest business promotion strategy, has announced an extra baggage scheme for students flying overseas to pursue higher studies between June 1 - October 31, 2007.
The students can carry an extra baggage, weighing upto 23 kilos.
However, they can avail this special package only if they book their ticket before September end, a BA statement issued here said today.
According to the statement, the students just need to register on www.bapromo.co.in. The booking could also bring in some attractive prizes with it.
South Asia Area Commercial Manager British Airways Amanda Amos said, ''We are aware how much you miss home when you are away, so we are giving the opportunity for your friends and family to visit you.
Five lucky winners will get a complimentary ticket for their loved ones to come and see them.'' BA offers competitive fares from India starting at Rs 14,300 (one-way) and Rs 26,000 (return) to the UK and Rs 36,000 (return) to US/Canada. All return fares are valid for a year. The airline offers a four-cabin, non-stop, full service flying experience with 43 flights a week from five cities in India to London Heathrow to connect to its world-wide network of more than 140 destinations in over 70 countries.
British Airways has double daily services to Mumbai, double dailies connecting Delhi and London, three times per week to Kolkata, five flights a week from Chennai and a daily operation from Bangalore.
