BJP activist stage protest in front of DC office.

Shimla, May 29 (UNI) Activists of the BJP today staged a protest in front of Shimla Deputy Commissioner's office here against Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and his wife for their alleged involvement in the CD scam.

Speaking on the occasion, several BJP leaders demanded the Chief Minister's resignation on moral grounds after the scam.

Later, the activists attempted to burn Mr Singh's effigy, which was snatched by the police.

However, the BJP did later burn something, saying they had prepared another, knowing fully well that the police would snatch the effigy away from them.
