Assn blames Indian Posts for delays
Machilipatnam, May 29 (UNI) The Indian Post came in for flak from the AP Postal Users Association here today for alleged delay in despatch of mails and also using the postman for distributing prasad and incense sticks.
Speaking to the UNI here, Association Convenor D Ramana said such delays led to youths missing interviews. Many had even lost appointment orders due to the Postal Department's negligence.
He also accused the private couriers of being responsible for pilferage of valuabe cargo and said the authorities should exercise greater control over them.
Mr Ramana appealed to the goevrnment to improve postal services and restore it to its previous glory to help serve the poor and the needy.
