Army Schools Excel in Schools Results
New Delhi, May 29 (UNI) The Army Schools spread throughout the country have excelled in the CBSE class X and XII exams, results of which were announced recently.
Among the total 123 Army Schools, 97 per cent of students of Class X have passed the exam while 94 per cent have cleared Class XII -- as compared to the overall national pass percentage, this is higher by more than 14 per cent for Class XII.
In all, 83 per cent of the Army Schools students of Class X and XII have obtained first division.
These results assume greater significance as most children in Army Schools are wards of Personnel Below Officer Ranks who belong largely to rural background, an official spokesperson pointed out here today.
