Appoint global experts on Rama Sethu: PT leader
Coimbatore, May 29 (UNI) Puthiya Tamizhagam (PT) Founder-Leader K Krishnaswamy today suggested the appointment of global archaelological experts to verfiy claims on the existence of Rama Sethu falling in the route of the Sethusamudram Shipping Canal Project (SSCP).
Speaking to the media here, Dr Krishnaswamy warned failure to bring out the truth on the existence of the bridge could result in violence.
Some parties were keen on derving political mileage out of the issue, he said while urging Union Shipping and Surface Transport Minister T R Baalu to appoint a global agency to verify the claims of some Hindu outfits.
