Airtel launches 'background music' in TN

Chennai, May 29: Leading mobile service provider Airtel today launched 'Airtel Background Music', a unique service here that allows customers to set their favourite song or instrumental piece as background music during a call.

'Airtel Background Music' can be selected from a number of songs on 'Airtel IVR', a company release here said.

The customer has a range of background music to select from like traffic sound, train horn or might be favourite song, the release said, adding the service can be activated by dialling '676'. The IVR will direct the customers through easy steps to select the songs of their choce.

The database includes over 2000 song options under six categories with choices of instrumental music, topten, Bollywood, regional, English and natural sounds.
