2 killed in lightning

Shajapur, MP, May 29 (UNI) Two people were killed and a woman sustained severe burns when lightning accompanied by strong winds and rains lashed Gurjarkhedi village in Nalkheda police station area of this district, police said today.

Police said Leelabai(45) and Indar Singh Gurjar(25) died as lightning struck them yesterday.

In another accident in the district, eight members of a marriage party were injured yesterday when a mini-bus overturned near Bhainsrod in Salsalai police station area.

The bus, returning to Ujjain district's Nagda, overturned on the way due to carelessness of the driver, police said.

The injured were admitted to a hospital at Shujalpur, police added.
