2 killed as lorry runs over them

Machilipatnam, May 29 (UNI) Two persons, including a 11-year-old child, were killed on the spot when a lorry crushed them at Kapavaram village on Machilipatnam-Pune national highway this afternoon.

Police said the deceased, a 50-year-old woman and her grand daughter, were waiting at a bus stop when the mishap occurred.

The driver and the cleaner of the lorry were absconding, police added.
