K'taka: Two women washed away in flash floods

Hubli, May 28: Two women were killed when flash floods hit them while working near a check dam at Kotekal Village in Bagalkot district.

Police said about ten labourers, including the deceased were working near a check dam when the mishap occurred late last evening.

The flash floods occurred due to sudden downpour in the area.

While eight labourers survived the flash floods, two women Gouramma (35) and Sridevi (45) were washed away.

Later, the bodies were recovered, police added.
