Three killed, 19 injured in mini bus-car collision

Anand, May 28 (UNI) Three people were killed on the spot and 19 others injured in a collision between a mini-bus and a car on Nadiad-Mahuda Road last night.

The collision occurred near Alinas Char Rasta. After the collision, the bus en route to Sabarkantha from Galtheswar overturned, police said today.

The deceased have been identified as Prithvisinh Khant, Vijaybhai Khant and Hiralben Kanubhai Khant, all residents of Bayad village in Sabarkantha.

Of the 19 injured, five seriously injured have been shifted to Ahmedabad civil hospital, while 14 are undergoing treatment at Nadiad civil hospital. All the victims were travelling on the bus.

An offence under sections 279, 337, 338, 304(a) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and 177 and 184 of Motor Vehicle Act has been registered by the Mahuda police. The bus driver fled from the accident spot and was still at large, police added.
