Three died, nine injured in accident

Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu, May 28 (UNI) Three people, including a six-year-old girl were killed and nine others were injured, when a van in which they were travelling collided with a roadside Tamarind tree at Maruthandarkudi village near here today.

Police said the people on the ill-fated van were proceeding to Velankkanni from Tirunelveli for a pilgrimage, when the mishap occurred.

The injured were admitted to the government hospital here.
