Sunkesula dam full following heavy rains in Karnataka

Kurnool, May 28 (UNI) Much to the delight of farmers, amidst the scorching summer, the water level in the Sunkesula dam on river Tungabhadra in this district, is full, following heavy rains in neighbouring Karnataka.

As water in the dam reached the maximum level, the authorities opened two gates, releasing two cusecs of water.

The farmers had already started agricultural operations. They were very happy that they could start the operations even before the onset of monsoon.

People living on either side of the canals were also alerted about the release of water.
