Sarpanch felled

Guntur, May 28 (UNI) Chebrolu village sarpanch V Srimanth (40) was burtally murdered when he was riding a two-wheeler at Budampadu village in Guntur district today, according to police .

About ten assaliants hurled grenades at him. The sarpanch fell down and was attacked with knives.

He died on the spot.

The murder was attributed to village feud.
