Railways demolishes unauthorised halt
Patna, May 28 (UNI) The authorities of East Central Railways (ECR) have demolished an unauthorised railway halt made at Gopalpur village between Sasaram and Bikramgunj stations under Mughalsarai division.
Railway sources said here today that the halt was operational in the area and local people used to adopt illegal method to forcibly stop trains.
Despite repeated warnings by the railway officials, the practice was on forcing the railways to demolish the halt yesterday.
The railway officials ruled out existence of any halt in the name of Ms Rabri Devi, wife of Railway Minister Lalu Prasad, which was demolished in the area.
Reports of the demolition of an unauthorised railway halt, named after Ms Rabri Devi, had appeared in a section of the media.
