Poor hold dharna for govt lands

Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, May 28 (UNI) Hundreds of poor people today staged dharna before the District Collectorate here demanding the state government distribute government lands around the town.

Earlier, they took out a massive procession under the aegis of the CPI(M).

Political parties like CPI (ML) New Democracy, BJP and Telugu Desam Party among others have extended solidarity to the agitation.

Later,a memorandum was submitted to the Eluru Revenue Divisional Officer T Venugopal Reddy.
