Police cracks missing jewellery case

Imphal, May 28 (UNI) Bishenpur police has solved the case of missing jewelleries worth about Rs nine lakh.

Superintendent of Police today said that the theft was reported last month at Moirang, Bishenpur district about 45 km from here.

Six persons were nabbed so far, police said.

Konjengbam Sakhi Devi of Moirang had lodged a complaint on April 10 that her gold ornaments worth Rs 8,80,700 had been stolen from her home.

After repeated attempts by police, the main accused Konjengbam Naoton was nabbed by police from Guwahati railway station and police started enquiry into the case. Later, five others, including two women, were nabbed he further said.
