Hyderabad, May 28 (UNI) TDP founder and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N T Rama Rao's widow Nandamuri Lakshmi Parvathi today described TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu as a ''back-stabber.'' After laying a wreath on the samadhi of NTR, Ms Parvathi told newspersons that Mr Naidu, who became the Chief Minister by dethroning N T Rama Rao, who got a massive mandate from the people was garlanding his photographs and singing paeans about his great qualities.

After marrying Parvathi, who wanted to write his biography, NTR took her for election campaign and won a landslide victory in the 1994 elections.

However, a year later due to the alleged ''heavy interference of Lakshmi Parvati in party and administrative affairs,'' Mr Naidu took the MLAs on his side and got himself elected as the leader of the TDLP.

Well-known actor and contemporary of N T Rama Rao and Dada Saheb Phalke awardee Akkineni Nageswara Rao visited the NTR ghat and paid floral tributes.

NTR has proved that a man with dedication, love for his profession and respect for his country, could achieve anything, he said adding the late leader had spread the fame of Telugus across the world.

NTR's sons Jaya Krishna, Mohana Krishna and Jaya Sankara Krishna, his grand son and actor Junior NTR, son-in-law Dr Daggubati Venkateswara Rao, were among those, who paid tributes to the great artiste at the NTR ghat on the banks of Hussain Sagar.
