'No Political Overtones': Arjun Aide On Meetings With CMs

New Delhi, May 28 (UNI) Human Resource Development Minister Arjun Singh met the Chief Ministers of Tamil Nadu and Kerala today in what a spokesman called efforts to sort out education related issues.

The meeting with Chief Minister M Karunanidhi was to discuss Tamil Nadu's plans to pursue reservation for backward classes and with Chief Minister V S Achutanandan Kerala's concerns on technical education, an HRD Ministry spokesman said.

In his meeting with Achutanandan, Singh was accompanied by an HRD official dealing with technical and other higher education.

The Minister is scheduled to visit Chennai on May 30, the spokesman said.
