NGOs adopt HIV positive children

Rajkot, May 28 (UNI) City-based Aids Prevention Club and Giants International have adopted 129 HIV Positive children of the Saurashtra region.

Gujarat State Finance Minister Vajubhai Vala distributed education kits to the HIV positive children on the occasion at a function here yesterday.

Rajkot AIDS prevention Club and Giants International, have been working for the cause of HIV positive people and to spread awareness on HIV.

The affected children not only get financial aid but also will be provided treatment and medicines, the president of the AIDS Prevention Club Arun Dave said.

The affected children in the age group of 11 to 13 are from Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Gandhidham, Veraval and Rajkot, Mr Dave added.

One HIV child Jigar, said he would like to become a doctor.

Finance Minister Vajubhai Vala lauded the NGOs who have been working for the cause of the HIV positive children.
