Mosque blast accused in judicial custody
Hyderabad, May 28 (UNI) A city local today remanded Shoaib Jagirdhar, who was arrested in Maharashtra in connection with Mecca Masjid bomb blast on May 18, in judicial custody for 14 days.
The 12th Additional Metropolitan Magistrate remanded Shoaib to judicial custody for 14 days and sent him in Chenchalguda jail.
During police interrogation, Shoaib confessed that he helped LeT terrorist Nayeem alias Sameer to obtain a fake passport. Both of them had come to the city in February 2007 and stayed in Hyderabad to get a fake passport.
The city police registered a case under Passport Act after his confession.
Shoaib was arrested by the Maharashtra police in Jalna town in Aurangabad district and handed him over to the city police to interrogate him in connection with the Mecca Masjid bomb blast case on May 25.
