Liquor shops to be shut from May 31 in Goa

Panaji, May 28 (UNI) In view of the June 2 Assembly elections in the State, the Goa government has directed all licensed liquor shops in the State to remain closed from May 31 to June 2, and also on the day of counting on June 5.

According to government directions, a maximum of three quarter bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor can be transported from one place to another within the State or can be possessed by any person within the State. Apart from this, six bottles of beer amd three quarter bottles of country liquor can be held by an individual or his family during this period.

The notification will be in force from 1700 hrs from May 31.
