Landmine kills 9 cops in Chhattisgarh

Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, May 28 (UNI) Nine policemen were killed and three injured tonight when Maoists triggered a landmine at Kudur village in Bastar district's Mardapal Police Station limits, police said.

The personnel, belonging to the district police, were patrolling on motorbikes when the naxals triggered the blast.

A preliminary report had mentioned that the victims belonged to the CRPF.

The condition of two of the injured was stated to be serious.
