Kerala HC directs Govt to decide on Abad objections

Kochi, May 28 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today directed the state government to hear and dispose of within ten days, the objections raised by Abad Motels and Resorts Private Limited to the demolition of their property in Munnar.

A division bench of Justices P R Raman and K Hema also extended by two weeks, the stay on the demolition of the Abad property in Munnar.

Advocate General C P Sudhakar Prasad, appearing for the state government, told the court that the matter would be heard and orders passed within ten days. In the meanwhile, the government would not demolish the building constructed by the petitioner, he added.

In another case, Justice S Sirijagan passed a verbal order, staying the demolition of Dhanasree Yatri Niwas in Munnar till Thursday.

Hearing a petition by the property owner Dhanya Ramaprasad, the court directed the government counsel to seek instructions in the matter.
