Isolated rains in AP
Hyderabad, May 28 (UNI) With the Southwest Monsoon setting in over Kerala today, isolated rainfall occurred over Telangana and Rayalaseema while weather remained dry over Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cm are Kunavaram , Kuppam and Venkatagiri Kota (three each), Dummagudem (two cm) and Palamaner (one cm).
On Sunday, the maximum temperatures significantly fell at a few places over Rayalaseema and at one or two places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The highest maximum temperature of 44 degrees Celsius was recorded at Rentachintala and Hanamakonda.
A report from Vijayawada said the city experienced another hot day today as maximum temperature rose to 41.7 degrees Celsius as against 41.6 degrees Celsius recorded yesterday with hot winds sweeping the city.
A Met official told UNI here that the temperature was likely to rise further tomorrow. The minimum temperature recorded was 28.5 degrees Celsius.
A report from Eluru said the town experienced maximum temperature of 43.8 degrees Celsius. It was 42.3 degrees Celsius yesterday.
